The Willow Creek Association, now the Global Leadership Network, had begun in 1992 as an official offshoot of Willow Creek Community Church. At a later date, secular business leaders came on board as speakers and advisors and the group has become global in scope (1; Zavada).
Through the coordinated efforts of Bob Buford’s Leadership Network, Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Network, and the Global Leadership Network, innovations have been introduced into the church which changed congregations from a pastoral leadership model to a CEO/Innovative Change Agent leadership model. Change agents and facilitators of transformation guide the thoughts and actions of people into conflict that leads to a predetermined solution. This is known as the Hegelian Dialectic (2; Fairchild).
The mission of Bob Buford’s Leadership Network was to “accelerate the emergence of the 21st. century church.” The paradigm of this church was not centered on theology, but its focus was on structure, organization, and the transition from an institutionally based church to a mission-driven church (3; Sosnik, Dowd & Fournier).
Leadership Network was to be a resource broker to supply information to evangelical leaders and pastors, particularly targeting those who wanted to develop innovative churches. This organization has served as the main conduit for the philosophies and practices of Peter Drucker which would transition the church into a new emerging paradigm. The emerging leaders spoke the hip-sounding intellectual language of theology and philosophy which was all part of the structural change that would deconstruct old mindsets of the old theological paradigm and build up the new. In this postmodern worldview there can be no absolute truth and God’s Word is not the final authority (4; Diekmann).
Hegelian dialectics is used to break down national sovereignty and create a globalist mindset. Modern marketing techniques are used to draw and hold large numbers of people who are then converted and discipled through modern organizational techniques so that they can affect change in the community, and the world. This is accomplished by practicing the Hegelian dialectic repeatedly, in order to achieve gradual, incremental (continual) change–also known as innovation. The Hegelian dialectic is developmental and evolutionary in character and its goal is to achieve “complete perfection.” A change process is created by mixing unbelievers with believers in the church. This diverse group is subjected to facilitated meetings and Bible studies to achieve predetermined outcomes. In this setting, peer pressure (belonging) achieves the goal which is for everybody to get along so that we may attain world peace on our won. The process is a subtle one. Believers are moved away from their original position of “moral absolutism,” in order to get along with the group in relationship” (2; Fairchild).
The Global Leadership Summit was founded in 1992. The 2009 Global Leadership Summit’s guests at Willow Creek Community Church included:
- BONO
- TONY BLAIR
- JIMMY CARTER
- DAVID GERGEN
Bono, the lead singer of the rock band U2, is one of the richest entertainers in the world and gets tremendous access to the media—and politicians—because of his anti-poverty campaign. Less well-known is the fact that his band came in for criticism two years ago when it transferred part of its business empire out of Ireland to avoid high tax rates.
Bono also runs an organization known as DATA (Debt AIDS Trade Africa), which is funded in part by the Open Society Institute of Democratic Party George Soros. A Soros associate, Morton Halperin, sits on the DATA board. The ONE campaign says it is funded “through private and public foundations” but only one name has been identified—that of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which provided $3 million in 2004.
ONE campaign “partner” organizations include the United Nations Association, the pro-U.N. lobbying group, and Ted Turner’s United Nations Foundation, which financially supports the U.N. While the ONE campaign is generally regarded as a left-wing organization, it claims support from such notables as Pat Robertson and pastor Rick Warren. On September 25, after conversing with McCain and Palin, Bono and his collaborators were scheduled to hold a “United Nations emergency summit on the Millennium Development Goals.” Bono’s ONE organization described them as “eight goals” that were “drawn from the targets contained in the Millennium Declaration that was adopted by 189 nations—and signed by 147 heads of state and governments during the UN Millennium Summit in September 2000.” A careful analysis of the legislation, as well as the follow-up 2002 U.N. Financing for Development Conference, which was designed to make the “goals” into a reality, leads to the conclusion that the U.S. will have to provide $845 billion in increased foreign aid spending, generated if necessary by a global tax on the American people. At the Clinton Global Initiative meeting, Obama reaffirmed a “commitment” to “embracing the Millennium Development Goals, which aim to cut extreme poverty in half by 2015.”
The ONE campaign organization urged the Senate passage of the Jubilee Act, which would cancel the debts of 26 foreign countries even while the U.S. suffers through its own financial crisis and Americans are losing their homes and savings. It passed the House in April on a 285-132 vote….Despite foreign aid having cost the American people $2 trillion since World War II, Bono’s ONE organization believes in “allocating more of the U.S. budget toward providing basic needs” for the rest of the world. ONE also promotes compliance with the U.N.’s Millennium Development Goals, the same expensive effort set forth legislatively in Obama’s Global Poverty Act (6; Kincaid).
U2’S 2005 Vertigo tour promoted Bono’s New Age, all-faith agenda. The word ‘coexist’ appeared on a giant screen. C = the Islamic crescent, X=the Star of David, and T=the Christian cross. Then the big screen displayed the lie of the New Age Church, “Everything you know is wrong.” Bono led the audience in a chant, “Jesus, Jew, Mohammed – all true…” (30; Cloud).
Bill Hybels signed up Tony Blair to be on the faculty of this year’s Leadership Summit. “Both President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair speak boldly and often of their intentions to globalize the political and commercial affairs of the world’s nations. In a major speech on internationalism and the reason for Britain’s (and America’s) involvement in Iraq, Blair gave a speech in which he said, “This is not a clash between civilizations, it is a clash about civilization. ‘We’ is not the West. ‘We’ are as much Muslim as Christian or Jew or Hindu. ‘We’ are those who believe in religious tolerance, openness to others, to democracy.”
A friend of Blair’s wife Cherie and “spiritual guru,” Carole Caplin, is credited with introducing her and her husband to various New Age symbols and beliefs, including “magic pendants” known as “BioElectric Shields“. The most controversial of the Blairs’ New Age practices occurred when on holiday in Mexico. The couple, wearing only bathing costumes, took part in a rebirthing procedure that involved smearing mud and fruit over each others’ bodies while sitting in a steam bath.
In July 2009 Tony Blair launched the Faith and Globalisation Initiative with Yale University in the USA, Durham University in the UK and National University of Singapore in Asia to deliver an exclusive programme in partnership with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. Tony Blair’s close relationship with Rupert Murdoch, and the reciprocated unprecedented support which he received from Murdoch’s globally influential News Corporation media empire, has been the subject of much criticism.
In 1995, while leader of the Opposition, Blair disclosed in the Commons register of interests that he was a guest of Murdoch when he flew to meet him in Hayman Island.
Rupert Murdoch is an Australian-born global media mogul. He owns media outlets and is a major shareholder, chairman and managing director of News Corporation (News Corp). According to the 2009 Forbes 400, Murdoch is the 132nd-richest person in the world, with a net worth of $4 billion. He owns: Fox network, New York Times, IGN Entertainment, Myspace, Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal, National Geographic Channel, 4 newspapers in he U.K. This is just a small list of everything he owns, but there is a couple of more things that he owns: Harper Collins and Zondervan… Rupert Murdoch is also a Catholic. He received an award from the Roman church called: Knights and Dames of St. Gregory the Great. He is a Knight of the Roman Catholic church. He donated $10 million towards the construction of a new catholic church in Los Angeles.
Murdoch holds the printing rights of the N.I.V. Bible. That means he owns the N.I.V. Whereas anyone can print the KJV of the Bible because nobody owns it. You can even print it in your basement and distribute it to lost souls.
Jimmy Carter: On October 27, 1999, Jimmy Carter was on the NBC Today Show where he said, “Many of us who are not Christians worship the same god.” In “alluding to his having once met with Israel’s Begin and Egypt’s Sadat, he adds that they were all ‘compatible’ since we worship the same god… In fact, all the Muslims revere Christ… Jesus said he shouldn’t condemn anyone.'” In Carter’s book, “Living Faith,” he wrote: “Of course, the fellowship of faith is even larger than the Christian world.”
Carter’s November 22, 2000 letter mentioned “The Carter Center“, which he brags was “attended by members of over 20 Christian denominations, diverse Jewish groups, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Baha’is, and members of many other faiths.” Carter says these different groups found common ground in “establishing peace and preventing human suffering” (19; Allen). Obviously, Christ has been left out…. In Carter’s tribute to Graham in the book “Billy Graham: A Tribute From Friends,” you will discover that he mentions “Christ” twice, but “Jesus” never. You might assume he meant “Jesus the Christ”, but every action he took during his presidency advanced the New World Order agenda, the successful staging of the New Age Christ, “Maitreya the Christ”. Occultists excel in developing the deceptive art of “double-speak”, where they know the words they used will be taken one way by Christians, and mean something totally different by occultists. A number of Masons who have close ties to Billy Graham are included in the book: Bill Clinton, Gerald Ford, former senators Mark Hatfield and Jesse Helms, Oral Roberts and Robert Schuller(42; Fairchild).
Carter also belonged to the “Better World Society”, and, as already mentioned, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and the Trilateral Commission (TC). These groups are working for a one world government. As President, Carter filled his cabinet with CFR members. His National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, was both a CFR and TC member. In fact, Brzezinski was the founding Director of the Trilateral Commission(22; Carter).
In his book, “Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era”, Brzezinski wrote: “Marxism represents a further vital and creative stage in the maturing of man’s universal vision. Marxism is simultaneously a victory of the external, active man over the inner, passive man and a victory of reason over belief….The nation-state is gradually yielding its sovereignty….Further progress will require greater American sacrifices. More intensive efforts to shape a new world monetary structure will have to be undertaken, with some consequent risk to the presently favorable American position.” (41; Antonio Gramsci Marxism)
Carter’s sister, Ruth Carter Stapleton, was an occultist and “a featured speaker at the 13th Annual “World Festival of the International Cooperation Council”, held in Santa Monica, California, on January 22, 1978. This gathering of Eastern mystics, mind-science practitioners, and assorted esotericists from around the world billed itself as a “Synergy Conference”–‘a cooperative effort on the part of all philosophies to unite in common setting to exchange ideas,’ and ‘a creative process moving from the individual to the cosmos'” (22; Carter).
She explains how one should use repetition to attain the state of concentration. She suggests repeating a phrase such as “I am one with God” over and over again. Stapleton has used “guided meditation” and the “occult technique of visualization”. In fact, her 1977 book, “The Experience of Inner Healing”, she deals extensively with the occult method of meditation. Just weeks before she died, Ruth Carter Stapleton declared herself healed of her cancer. She explained how, during her meditation, she “visualized” all the cancer cells leaving her body. She declared herself cancer free based upon her occult healing process; weeks later, she died.
In 1995 John Ortberg and Ruth Barton unveiled “spiritual formation” at Willow Creek Community Church with “An Ordinary Day with Jesus.” Ruth Barton is a graduate of Wheaton College, has served as president of the Chicago chapter of Christians for Biblical Equality, and was trained at Tilden Edwards New Age Shalem Institute.
John Ortberg is a speaker and has been a teaching pastor at Willow Creek. He is currently at Menlo Park Presbyterian in Menlo Park, California. Ortberg’s education includes a Master of Divinity degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from Fuller Seminary, where he currently serves on the board of trustees. Both Ortbergs have various web sites for seminars and speaking engagements around the world; also videos and books ministry. See expose on Nancy Ortberg here..
Their teaching includes New Age “centering” and the “Rule for Life”(click above picture to enlarge). The “Rule for Life” was written by St. Benedict in the early years of monasticism and is still used in monasteries. Similar terminology to the Orberg’s writing is used in “The Discipleship for a New Age by Alice Bailey & Djwhal Khul. “Book of Rules” for Disciples of a New Age– “He walks upon the water and is not submerged therein.” See more on “walking on water” here: Beatles and the Cosmic Consciousness Movement .
During the years 1919 to 1949 Alice Bailey and Djwhal Khul established a close telepathic contact. One of the results of their cooperation is the book series on Ageless Wisdom Teachings. Fundamental Teachings of Ageless Wisdom: Humanity is ‘ONE’
- The Kingdom of God, the Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet, can and does materialise on earth.
- There is a continuity of revelation down the ages in that God has revealed Himself from cycle to cycle to humanity.
- The God Transcendent is equally the God Immanent. The “Sons of God” have to express the three basic divine aspects, namely knowledge, love and will.
- There is only one divine Life, expressing itself through the multiplicity of forms in all the kingdoms of nature. Humanity is therefore ONE.
- Within each human being is a point of light, a spark of the one Flame, the soul, the second aspect of divinity, which St. Paul referred to as “Christ in you, the hope of glory”.
- An ultimate perfection (though relative in nature) is possible for the individual aspirant and for humanity as a whole through the action of the evolutionary process. This process is exemplified in the teachings in various ways, from the humblest atom up through the four recognized kingdoms of nature, on through the fifth kingdom, to those exalted spheres where the Lord of the World works out the divine Plan.
- There are certain immutable laws governing the universe; man becomes progressively aware of these as he evolves. These laws are expressions of the will of God.
- The basic law of our universe is to be seen in the manifestation of God as Love.
- There are necessarily many subsidiary factors presented in the teachings like the Law of Rebirth or Reincarnation, the cyclic nature of all manifestation, the nature and aim of the evolutionary process, the existence of the Spiritual Hierarchy, the existence of the Masters and Their work, the nature of consciousness with its various stages culminating in the Path of Initiation etc.
David Gergen , during an appearance at the Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, David Gergen responds directly to a question about the New World Order, describing what George H.W. Bush meant when he called for a New World Order. He digressed some off the subject, but stated that both Bush and Clinton were trying to “define” what this ideology could become through out their presidency.
Similar to what Zbigniew Brzezinski has made a notion of in numerous publications, America is beginning to lose it’s place as a super power and our economy is sliding. He stated that many countries have seen a transfer of power from the west to Asia and that many countries are fed up with Americas “cowboy Capitalism” and that it “represents the past”, is “threatening to bring down the structure” and is “destroying the fabric of civilization”. Gergen revealed that as an insider, he could predict the outcome of the current economic crisis. In response to a question about the New World Order, Gergen stated that the standard of living of the American people would fall by 40%, ushering in an era of austerity.
This plan in which he stated that the post-World War II prosperity of America was coming to an end. One must conclude that this is a coordinated plan by the governing class to restrict the resources of the planet to stunt the growth of the middle class.
In the political realm, Gergen revealed that Hillary Clinton was supposed to win the Democratic nomination, but was upset during the primary process by Barack Obama. During his appearance, Gergen focused on the importance of Pakistan in foreign policy, a viewpoint that meshes with Zbigniew Brzezinski’s outline for world domination in his 1997 book, The Grand Chessboard. With regard to the media, Gergen stated that it was healthy for networks such as Fox News to produce propaganda, since MSNBC and CNN could balance it with their own versions of the truth. Gergen held up General David Petraeus as an example of an effective leader, and reveled his admiration for the nation of Singapore, which Gergen said was “authoritarian, to be sure.” After the session, Gergen became agitated when confronted with documentation regarding his membership in the Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg Group and his attendance at the Bohemian Grove.
The Trilateral Commission sprang from the Bilderbergers when one of its principal members, Esso or Standard Oil’s David Rockefeller came into conflict with his fellows over whether to include Japan in the club. Upon reading the 1970 book Between Two Ages, David Rockefeller lured its writer, Professor Zbigniew Brzezinski, away from Columbia University to become the Chairman and co-founder of the Trilateral Commission in 1973. Brzezinski, who later became the mastermind of Jimmy Carter’s foreign affairs and national security blunders, is still looked to as a policy guru by the liberal media today. Using the same collectivist mindset, objectives and premise as the CFR, Rockefeller funded and set up the New York-based Trilateral Commission with Zbigniew Brzezinski as its intellectual architect and purposely patterned after Brzezinski’s book.
The Bilderbergers: In 1954, the most powerful men in the world met for the first time under the auspices of the Dutch royal crown and the Rockefeller family in the luxurious Hotel Bilderberg of the small Dutch town of Oosterbeck. For an entire weekend they debated the future of the world. When it was over, they decided to meet once every year to exchange ideas and analyze international affairs. They named themselves the Bilderberg Club.
Along with Zbigniew Brzezinski and a few others, including the Brookings Institution, Council on Foreign Relations and the Ford Foundation, Rockefeller convened initial meetings and held their first executive committee meeting in Tokyo in October 1973. Members include corporate CEOs, politicians of all major parties, distinguished academics, university presidents, labor union leaders and not-for-profits involved in overseas philanthropy.
The goal of the Trilateral Commission is to align the free world with the advanced communist states to organize a world government. Members of the Trilateral Commission were instrumental in creating the European Union as well. The EU is the prototype of global governance that will soon exert its influence to reshuffle world relationships. Some people who are or have been members include:
- David Rockefeller: Founder of the Commission; Chairman of the Chase Manhattan Bank board from 1969 to 1981; Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations from 1970 to 1985, now honorary Chairman; a life member of the Bilderberg Group.
- Presidents George H.W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton•Dick Cheney, William Cohen, Dianne Feinstein, David Gergen, Henry Kissinger•Federal Reserve Chairmen Alan Greenspan and Paul Volcker•Caspar Weinberger: Secretary of Defense under Reagan.
- Yotaro Kobayashi, (chairman of the Fuji Xerox company),
- John H. Bryan (former CEO of Sara Lee bakeries, affiliated with the World Economic Forum and part of the Board for Sara Lee, Goldman Sachs, General Motors, British Petroleum and Bank One). Due to Goldman Sachs secretive culture and revolving door relationship with the Federal government, Goldman has recently been referred to as Wall Street’s secret society, with former Goldman employees currently heading the New York Stock Exchange, the World Bank, the U.S. Treasury Department, the White House staff, and even rival firms such as Merrill Lynch. Its landmark profits during the 2007 Subprime mortgage financial crisis led the New York Times to proclaim that Goldman Sachs is without peer in the world of finance.
- James E. Burke (CEA of Johnson & Johnson from 1976 to 1989)
- Hank Greenberg (former chairman and CEO of American International Group (AIG), the world’s largest insurance and financial services corporation). It should come as no surprise that when AIG faced huge investment losses that threatened its solvency in 2008, the American government stepped in with billions of dollars of taxpayer money to keep the company afloat.
- Lee Raymond (ExxonMobil (Former CEO and Chairman, vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American Enterprise Institute, director of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., director and member of the Executive Committee and Policy Committee of the American Petroleum Institute), and others.
Eastern mysticism is found in world politics in the UN. The UN has its own meditation room and resident guru. Even the Pentagon has a meditation room (36). America joined the UN just after WWII where she surrendered her national sovereignty to international control. On December 5, 1980, the United Nations General Assembly formulated the Global Education Project. Based on UN assistant secretary-general Robert Muller’s World Core Curriculum, a model for global education for every nation was set up in Costa Rica called the University for Peace. Stressing “thinking skills” rather than academics, it is designed to instill non-competitive group consciousness, critical thinking, and global citizenship. Muller is an evolutionist who believes man is about to take a quantum leap toward becoming a new species. He believes that the earth is going to be transformed into “the planet of God.” To him “God” is the “planetary age” or the “age of Aquarius.” He agrees with the Hindus in calling the earth God. This is the foundation of our radical environmentalists today. They are striving for a spiritual at-one-ment with nature—a unified world system where the individual is subordinated into the whole. Under the United Nations, education will lead the way to this realization.
This World Core Curriculum promotes Eastern meditation techniques, including “guided fantasies into space,” which is also called “out-of-body travel” or “astral projection.” Muller’s concepts are actually taken from occultist Alice Bailey’s writings which were channeled the spirit guide Djwhal Kuhl, also known as the Tibetan. These channeled spirit guides are from an alleged group of evolutionary beings who have attained a high degree of evolutionary perfection which released them from bondage to the material world.
The holistic view of life views the planet as interconnected, with no life form having any greater standing than any other life form. Imperfect while we are still man, our next stage is said to take us to a level that is psychologically, spiritually, and physically superior where we will be a true “planetary citizen.” The late philosopher and theologian Francis Schaeffer wrote that authoritarianism is the only humanistic social option once America’s biblical base has been removed. He explains that, in the future this would be one man or an elite giving authoritative arbitrary absolutes. It would be a manipulative authoritarian elite where it would be chemical agents and genetic condition that would determine what kind of people should live in the future. Christian freedoms without Christian base bring about chaos. Authoritarianism is most easily accepted if it is brought in while seeming to keep the outward forms of constitutionality.
